Kevin Czinger is the lead inventor, founder and CEO of Czinger Vehicles and Divergent Technologies. He has extensive operating experience and a proven track record of performance in emerging growth technology companies.
Prior to Czinger Vehicles, Kevin was co-founder and CEO of Coda Automotive and Coda Battery. As an Electric Vehicle pioneer and manufacturer, Kevin learned that how we make cars is a bigger economic and environmental problem than how we fuel them. This led Kevin to focus on revolutionising car manufacturing by inventing a new production system that incorporates computational engineering, novel materials, additive manufacturing and automation to radically reduce the materials, energy, and capital needed to build a car.
His work focusing on low emission and high resource efficiency vehicle manufacturing has received a Google’s Solve for X "Moonshot" for its disruptive impact on global transportation and the Petersen Automotive Museum’s inaugural Award for Innovation and Leadership.
Outside the world of automotive technology, Kevin has served as an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs, an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Benchmark Capital and a Senior Managing Director of Fortress Investment Group as an investor and operating partner. He currently is a Member of the Board of Directors of SLM Solutions Group AG.
Kevin is a graduate of Yale College where he was named a National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete and All-American football player. After graduation, he then served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves.
Today, Kevin continues to serve Yale as a Sterling Fellow, a Member of the President’s International Advisory Council, and a Board Member of the Jackson Institute for World Affairs. Kevin also was a founding board member and funder of Achievement First Schools, one of America’s top performing charter school groups that started out as a single middle school serving inner city students in New Haven. This effort has since grown over 18 years to thirty K-12 schools in Connecticut, New York, and Rhode Island.
Ewan has spent his career working in the high performance automotive and motorsport industry, including roles with Rolls Royce, Bentley, Williams F1, Juno Cars and Ginetta. He has been very fortunate to travel the world with his work, supporting customers racing the cars he has had a hand in developing. This has included participation in the Le Mans 24 hours.
He considers himself a “whole car” guy with a broad range of experience from suspension to aero, powertrain to braking – a Jack of all trades, master of some. He enjoys putting teams together and enabling the team members to explore their creativity and realize their potential.
His greatest passion is in developing the initial concept and layout for a vehicle and then working day to day with the engineering team to make the concept a reality – “there is no greater feeling than seeing a car you have had a hand in, pull away under its own steam for the first time.”
Born and brought up in the UK, Ewan and his family moved out to LA in 2018 to join Czinger Vehicles.

Southern Californian native, David graduated from ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena. His career started with Peugeot Citroën with assignments in Coventry, England and Velizy, outside Paris, France. He left France and returned to Los Angeles where he opened the R & D centre for Mitsubishi Motors, spending over two decades creating production and concept cars for both North American and global markets. David has also served as adjunct faculty at ArtCenter for many years, in both the undergrad and non-degree public programs.
David, or Dave, is now the Chief Design Officer at Czinger and is responsible for the overall design team in Los Angeles, California. 21C’s iconic in-line seating and additive manufactured parts are all inspired by David, and he’s seen the development of the first car in 2017 through to the current track and road-based versions in 2020. Under Dave’s wing is a team of bright and budding design stars, who are not only working on exterior, interior, CMF, computationally-developed designs, but also the direction of the company’s brand, image and identity.
While Jon’s work speaks for itself, his journey to Los Angeles has been via some of the most exciting hypercar and supercars for companies all over the world.
London, UK born and bred, Jon initially planned to follow an art and design career however he quickly felt it lacking substance and transitioned to aerospace engineering, which he was also passionate about.
Today, he heads-up the engineering and development team at Czinger, and has been in California for over four years.
At Koenigsegg, he was Technical Director and worked on the engineering and development for 11 years. This was his second stint in Sweden, with earlier assignments seeing him transition from aerospace at Saab aircraft to Saab cars in the Nineties, following his passion for automotive engineering.
Before that, Jon worked on the 2005 Ford GT program in Detroit as well as several niche vehicle programs for Aston Martin and Mercedes-Benz, after spending the first ten years on advanced aerospace and spacecraft programs including Airbus and the European Space Agency. Jon feels his early interest in art and design coupled with his aerospace and advanced materials background laid the path for his current hypercar passion.
